In loving
memory of those from our town who gave their all,
this Virtual Memorial website has been created by Marilyn
(Maggie) Stephenson-Knight and Simon John Chambers. It is owned by
Marilyn Stephenson-Knight. The Dover War Memorial Project is,
and always has been, run entirely by volunteers, and the essential
costs of the Dover War
Memorial Project are funded through voluntary
donations. The
costs of the website are funded personally by Maggie.
The information contained in this Virtual
Memorial is collated
from a number of different sources, including the records of
private individuals, and from the findings of original research
conducted by Maggie and Simon. We make no warranty as to
accuracy (though we have been as accurate as we can!) and, while
this site is intended for private educational purposes only,
nevertheless state that we accept no responsibility for any loss
or damage that may arise from use of the information herein. As
is common in all research practice, readers are advised to check
for themselves the accuracy of any information.
If any errors or mistakes are found, then we
most heartily apologise and will endeavour to
correct them as soon as we are informed. We have acknowledged
copyright and sources; do
contact us if there is a query.
There are many different copyrights
subsisting within the pages of this site. This includes the form
of information and images that have come from publicly available
sources, as the form in which they are presented here is the
work and the copyright of Marilyn Stephenson-Knight. The
originals of all images that appear on this site, other than
where specifically credited, are the copyright of Simon John
Chambers. This includes images from publicly available sources,
such as local newspapers, who have specifically granted
permission for their images to be recreated for the Project by
Simon John Chambers and Marilyn Stephenson-Knight.
You are very welcome
to use the information for private educational study and for
personal remembrance. All images have been optimised for
internet use; if you would like better quality images please do
let us know. If you wish to
reproduce any contents for other than your own private use, please
contact us first, so that we may inform all copyright holders,

Please honour our fallen, and please respect
the trust given by so many good people in loving memory of
our lost ones.
