I understand that on being attested for the 3rd Batt. The Buffs, I shall be required to undergo six months drill on enlistment, and that I shall not be permitted to enlist in the regular forces until after I have completed one Annual Training in the Militia.

I am writing in reference to???? A.F.C. 348, of the 15th November 1918, re my late sons 1914 Star, in which it was stated that my sons name was on the list of the men entitled to same, and would be forwarded as soon as they were issued, having heard nothing further in the matter and seeing others of his late regiment wearing the decoration, I am writing to ask you if you would give this matter your kind attention, thanking you in anticipation of a early reply.
