Age 20 years - 7 months.
Trade. Labourer.
 
Joined at Canterbury 30/8/14.
 
The Buffs attested Pte. 26/8/14.
6th Battalion. Posted Pte. 29/8/14.
 
6th Battalion died of wounds. Pte. 19/3/16.
 
Father Albert Cowell - age 65 - Church Street, Nonington.
Mother - Ellen Cowell - age 59. Address as above. She stated that she was very grateful to receive her son's British medal, and requested permission to wear it, however the response on 28 January 1921 from th Infantry Records office was that they were not authorised to grant this.
