I am writing to ask if you can give me any news of my Son, Pte. A. Fryth, 11923, 8^th Battalion Royal West Kent Expeditionary Force France.
I received a letter from his officer a fortnight ago to say that my son was killed instantaneously by a shell, he did not say what date he was killed. I should very much like to know if you can give me any news of him as soon as possible.
